What was your first introduction to the Melkweg?
I actually have no idea when I came to the Melkweg for the first time, but I think it might have been when a friend was booked to DJ in the ‘Oude Zaal’. That was my first time in that hall, in any case.

Do you want to tell us your favourite Melkweg story?
I don’t really have one.

What do you think concerts will look like in 50 years?
I think that contemporary technology allows you to do really insane things with stage design nowadays. Not only with light and sound effects—just look at how Travis Scott built an entire amusement park on stage. I think that things will get even crazier in the next 50 years, in a good way. An artist can build an entire world for audiences using those effects, so I think that it’ll be really cool.

What do you want people to know about you?
I am working really hard to make my model dreams come true. I’ve got agencies all over Europe since last year and I am travelling and discovering lots for work.

Which musician would you want to swap lives with for a day?
Maybe 070 Shake, she’s not at the level of being known and recognized by everyone, so she can walk down the street normally, but she does chill with Kanye.

Do you want to be famous? If so, what would you want to be known for?
I always wanted to become famous. I’d still like to be famous as a model, but not necessarily known all over the world. Building a reputation in my profession is high on my list.

If you could be the director of Melkweg for a day, what would you do?
I would organize huge parties, with performances by everyone I think is dope. Free entrance and open bar.

What do you think of your photograph?
I’m really happy with it.

What was your first introduction to the Melkweg?
My first introduction with the Melkweg was in 2016, when I went to see my favourite artist at the time, Angel Haze.

Do you want to tell us your favourite Melkweg story?
The Angel Haze concert was magical to me. I didn’t have any friends who were fans, so I went with my mother. My mother said that I should go to the front of the crowd, so I did. I was standing on my own, but quickly made friends and later, I even met Angel Haze after the show. I knew right away that it was a night I would never forget.

What do you think concerts will look like in 50 years?
I am assuming that technology will continue to develop, I’m thinking about holograms and stuff. I do believe that real music lovers will always choose for the full (live) experience. So I think that some things will change a lot, and other things won’t change at all. I just hope that I’m not restricted to watching a hologram in 50 years.

What do you want people to know about you?
I want to be an artist when I grow up, but I’m also an anthropology student.

Which musician would you want to swap lives with for a day?
I would want to swap with FKA Twigs. No, I’d actually rather spend the day with her, instead of swap with her, because she is my favourite artist and inspires me a lot.

Do you want to be famous? If so, what would you want to be known for?
Really famous isn’t something I’d want, but I would like to get recognition for the things I do. I’m not really sure in which area I’d want that recognition for yet, but I always just do what I like and what feels good. I make art (@moirapowerart on Instagram), and I am also learning how to play guitar at the moment. So who knows what will happen.

If you could be the director of Melkweg for a day, what would you do?
I would organize a mini festival with a line-up of all my favourite artists.

What do you think of your photograph?
Really nice! I had never done a photo shoot before, but I am really happy with the outcome.
