What was your first introduction to the Melkweg?
Me and a friend were giant fans of LMFAO when I was about 12 years old, so we went to see them live for my 12th birthday. That was my first-ever real concert.

Do you want to tell us your favourite Melkweg story?
Being 12 years old and watching LMFAO spraying champagne into the crowd, with a whole team of twerkers on the stage. Haha.

What do you think concerts will look like in 50 years?
Hopefully the same as they have always been, but then without those horrible concert fences.

What do you want people to know about you?
That I hate concert fences.

Which musician would you want to swap lives with for a day?
Damon Albarn. I would also love to be a Barbapapa for a day.

Do you want to be famous? If so, what would you want to be known for?
No not really, but if I have to choose, I would want to be known for my music.

If you could be the director of Melkweg for a day, what would you do?
Take the day off. Seems like hard work.

What do you think of your photograph?
Beautiful!

What was your first introduction to the Melkweg?
The first acquaintance with the Melkweg would probably be in the early 1970s and probably something with a music spectacle.

Do you want to tell us your favourite Melkweg story?
After the Australian band Cheap Trick finished their show, the band was walking around outside (I guess it was in the summer), drying themselves off with towels along the Lijnbaansgracht, walking towards their hotel.

And the time I saw Nina Hagen in a super packed, very hot ‘Oude Zaal’. ‘De Max’ didn’t even exist yet back then.

What do you think concerts will look like in 50 years?
Concerts will still be happening in 50 years, but I don’t think they will be in the setting of a venue like the Melkweg.

What do you want people to know about you?
The people who know me well, know that I thoroughly enjoy music.

For the people who don’t know me, I just want to say: get out of the house to check out and enjoy more music (if you can), because there’s so much out there.

Which musician would you want to swap lives with for a day?
Swap places with an artist? No, I wouldn’t want that, but I have found myself wondering more than once, what would Mick Jagger be doing today? Waking up, having breakfast and getting some exercise? Taking a trip to visit a museum?

Do you want to be famous? If so, what would you want to be known for?
No, I wouldn’t want to be famous, but it would of course be a wonderful feeling to be able to do something good for the world, in whatever shape or form that might be.

If you could be the director of Melkweg for a day, what would you do?
I would immediately demand the lockers be removed and reintroduce the classic cloakroom. Walking straight into a wall of lockers when you enter the building isn’t exactly a warm welcome.

What do you think of your photograph?
It’s an honest picture. It shows who I am. I may not look very enthusiastic but I’m very excited that my portrait will be part of this exhibition.
